According to research studies, your body may contain hidden fat that possibly could be hurting you.
Hidden fat is also known as visceral fat.
It hides around organs in your body such as the liver, pancreas, kidneys, and intestines.
Hidden or visceral fat is known to accumulate in the abdominal cavity and research studies has shown that it can cause an increase with cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, diabetes and high cholesterol.
Other studies show that it may increase the growth risk of certain cancer cells.
However, with this sad news of hidden or visceral fat, there is good news. Visceral fat can be reduced with a sensible diet and exercise program.
The other good news is once you lose it it is easier to keep off than noticeable fat located just under the skin’s surface known as subcutaneous fat.
To help rid your body of visceral fat try increasing the fiber in your diet.
Fiber increase in diets over a two year period help to decrease the amount of fat especially in and around the abdominal cavity.
Fiber is known to add bulk to your diet and helps control your weight, cholesterol, aids in digestion and lowers the risk of blood sugar levels and even hemorrhoids.
Reality shows that all of us already know these facts. It is up to us to insure that we follow a healthy diet and exercise routine.
It takes self-discipline and self-control, for some this is easy for others not so easy.
If we choose not to follow a healthy diet and exercise routine, then we will pay the consequences for a non-healthy lifestyle and it shows.Just as the opposite happens when you follow a healthy diet and exercise routine, it shows how healthy you are.
As a health and fitness, “wannabe” I have learned when I eat healthy and exercise I feel better and can deal with any issues that are dropped at my door.
When I do not eat right and do not exercise, boy can I tell the difference, I actually am more stressed and feel weighed down and even depressed.
Therefore, for my son, and myself I always encourage us daily by eating right and exercising to keep us on the road to living healthy.
