In order to discover your purpose in life you need to devote time and attention to something that will give your life meaning. A goal you can work towards. Basically, a passion that fulfills you.
A person’s sense of purpose doesn’t have to be grand; purpose is simply discovering what you are passionate about. For example, I am quite passionate about fitness and nutrition as you can tell by my blog. But I am also passionate about other areas of life that I share about from time to time because it affects all parts of us: the mind, the body and the spirit.
How do you go about discovering what your passion is?
Easy, look at your daily events and see what pattern shows up quite a bit. Gardening, crafting, baking, or cooking, etc.
Each and every one of us has something that we do constantly and really enjoy doing it without realizing how happy it makes us feel.
I have a friend who bakes cakes.
She did one for my son, Michael for his 13th birthday many years ago. A beautiful and tasty cake. I told her one day she should consider doing it as a business, but she said no.
Because she would rather enjoy baking than have it become a business and take all of the fun out of it.
Baking is her passion.
To help you identify your passions, ask yourself some of the following questions:
- What makes you feel most energized and excited?
- What do you want to be known as?
- What could you talk about non-stop?
- Which activities can you get caught up in that I lose track of time?
Once you have developed your answers then follow your passion and watch your mental status go from unhappy to happy, for you are doing what you want to do, your heart’s desire.
You all are probably wondering what my passion is right?
Well, my passion is writing, writing and more writing. I write various articles that pique my interest as you can tell by my blog already.
So, what is your passion, care to share?
